Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Providers
July 2010
The Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) Program gives parents of 4 year olds in Florida the choice of placing their children in a high-quality early learning program. Due to funding provided by the Florida Legislature, the program is free to Florida residents. During its first year the VPK Program has served 106,999 children in the State. In Okaloosa and Walton Counties, we served 1,308 children for the initial 2005-2006 program year. However, with the assistance of Certified VPK Providers and the trust of local parents, the Early Learning Coalition of Okaloosa and Walton Counties (ELC) will serve approximately 1,850 children for the 2010-2011 annual program.
The Early Learning Coalition of Okaloosa and Walton Counties is pleased to introduce the providers that have accepted the challenge of providing Voluntary Pre-kindergarten Services to our four-year-olds, for the 2010-2011 School Year. ELC staff have determined that these providers are certified. The Coalition will update the website to announce certifications of other providers as the information is available.
