The Early Learning Coalition provides for the coordination, integration, efficiency, and quality of early childhood services in Okaloosa and Walton Counties. The coalition's goals are to:

• Prepare children for success in school
• Involve parents as their child's first teacher and support family skill building.
• Provide oversight for a seamless system of services
• Coordinate state funding for early childhood programs in Okaloosa and Walton counties.

The coalition provides a number of services including early literacy programs, financial assistance for child care, screenings and assessments of children birth to 5 years old, parenting and family support programs, and referral services for finding child care and school readiness programs.
